Paul McGurran

Director of eCommerce, Optiflow eCommerce

Paul has over 18 years’ experience in eCommerce working in both national and international markets. Prior to this he worked as a Market Analyst with Frost & Sullivan, Euromonitor and as eBusiness Advisor with BDO. He is author of “Corporate Web Strategies in Europe” which involved interviews with among others Tesco, Sainsburys and Otto Versand.

 

As eCommerce Manager at Cashs Mail Order he was responsible for growing online revenues in the North American market selling Irish giftware. At Smyths Toys Paul led a team that grew International eCommerce in the UK market.

 

In 2012 Paul founded Optiflow eCommerce and has since worked with many B2C Irish online retailers and on B2B eCommerce projects. In a joint project with Amarach Research, Paul interviewed 35 eCommerce Managers and conducted analysis on Irish Retailers' different approaches to Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO). He authored a paper entitled "eCommerce Roadmap to Success 2019". Paul is also an Enterprise Ireland Mentor as part of "Online Retailing Scheme" and has advised Inish Pharmacy and CH Marine on international eCommerce opportunities.
