About the Awards
Today when seeking to acquire something, be it for business or personal use, we start online and, increasingly, we finish there too.
Indeed, buying and selling virtually anything these days can be achieved at the click of a button. And the ability to do this has transformed our world.
Of course, what goes on behind that click to confirm the purchase is a series of integrated functions which include: warehousing and distribution, carefully considered UX solutions, privacy and security strategies, platform and IT build, shopping carts and payment gateways, data analytics, card payment services, customer experience management; just some of the integrated functions required to meet the needs of an eCommerce transaction in today’s connected world.
The new eCommerce & Payment Awards aim to recognise the complexity and centrality of eCommerce to our world and celebrate the massive contribution it makes to local economies and ongoing global trade development.
It is free to enter and there is a wide variety of award categories to choose from. An independent judging panel of experts drawn from the industry, academia and the broader stakeholder community will judge the submissions in an open, transparent and robust manner.
We invite all those with a stake in the Irish and global eCommerce economy to join us in celebrating the incredible achievements of the individual, teams, organisations and brands, consultants and suppliers (agency or client-side), whether large or niche, small practitioner businesses or transnational giants, to get involved with these new awards and create a powerful, relevant platform from which to tell the world how great Irish the eCommerce community truly is and to demonstrate its emerging global role.
The eCommerce & Payment Awards programme has been developed by BusinessRiver, who own and operate the most comprehensive collection of business recognition programmes in the Irish market and which works with over 30 markets segments, engaging with 12,000 senior business leaders annually.
